I prefer to see the glass as half full. In wasting billions of dollars in lost productivity, perhaps daydreaming (or thinking in general as the memes would imply) gives us a space to create and ponder the possibilities. Maybe Gene Roddenberry and George Lucas day dreamed a little to make their fantasy worlds possible, which resulted in the inspiration of the technology we enjoy today.

Go ahead and day dream. Leave the tedious work to the robots.
