I've always felt that anyone who has any issues with gay or transgendered people must have some deep-seated insecurity, some nebulous fear that an LGBTQ person is somehow going to infect them.

Yet more evidence that the US is being led by a giant man-baby.

Daily, this inhuman entity in the White House does something to make himself comparable to Hitler.

The fact that people still support him shows how sick this country has become. People should be scared of what this country could become if it goes unchecked, yet what I'm most afraid of is our overall inability to do anything when those in power will mold the country to their twisted dystopia despite any rational resistance. If they wish it, our votes don't mean anything.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry whenever Trump has anything to say about anything. Him being in power..It's like a really bad dream. Yes it's scary having a complete loony in power but scarier knowing how well supported he is in the US.

One excuse I hear often is "Why do we have to change things and make accommodations for such a small percentage of the population?"

Well, people in wheelchairs and scooters make up a very small percentage of the population, yet I don't hear anyone griping about making wheelchair accessible ramps, accessible bathrooms, accessible parking spots, etc.

I know it's not a perfect comparison, but there are at least 1.4 million people in the US as of 2016 (probably far more now) that identify as trans--that's a lot of people to refuse to accommodate just because people get hung up on the "issue" of them being trans.

I actually work in IT; started off as a COBOL programmer on an IBM/XA mainframe, with the tracks, cylinders, etc. Ah, the glory days of data processing!
