1. I couldn't hear until the age of 4 or 5. Despite that, I have no lingering hearing or speech issues.
2. I'm missing 9 of my 10 fingers due to frostbite in 2008. I retain the thumb on my left hand.
3. I have a mental illness, being diagnosed with schizo-affective disorder. Thankfully my delusions are largely under control.
4. I have a history of working on computers, building my own, and have spent a lot of time tearing down and rebuilding computers.
5. I love football.
6. I don't have any tattoos or piercings, except for my ears.
7. I was a Hindu who worshiped the goddess Kali until a couple years ago.
8. I converted to Taoism at 17, and still agree with much of its teachings, though I'm no longer really a practicing Taoist, whatever that means.
9. I have a longstanding interest in religion and philosophy. I'm more fascinated by religion than repulsed by it.
10. I don't own a car, though I still have my license and can drive.

Total bummer. I have to admit that I've often wondered how that happened.

1. I cry nearly every day, sometimes multiple times. Books, movies, commercials, reading the news can all trigger it.

2. I am the first person in my family to earn a college degree. 20 some years ago now.

3. As far as I'm aware, I'm also still the only person in my family to earn a college degree. This is counting all my aunt's, uncles and cousins and second cousins. My husband is the only other person I consider family that also has a degree. What can I say, I guess we aren't ambitious people.

4. I'm a Hufflepuff.

5. I read daily. I like most genres, except romance. And I much prefer real books to electronic ones.

6. I still read with my daughter every night. 11 plus years, and it is an important part of the day for both of us.

7. My dream job was (still is?) working for Disney or Pixar in animation.

8. I don't really care for pizza. I can enjoy a fancy one now and then, but I find most pizzas to be extremely unappetizing.

9. lobster and crab are sea insects. Do you enjoy eating bug meat? I used to, but ever since I realized the truth I'm disgusted by both.

10. I stopped growing around age 12 or 13. I still fit into my 8th grade prom dress into my 30s.

Thank you, there's just that much more for me. [Image: Thumbs%20Up.png]

P.S. Thanks for the extra pizza too.

RE: Ten Facts...
1. I went through a two-volume dictionary when I was a little kid, going through every word, just to note down all Greek myth-related terms and their definitions, then attempt to reconstruct stories out of these definitions (this was before I had access to books on Greek mythology).

2. As a little kid, I also memorized a whole children's book just for the sake of it.

3. I've read the whole of the Bible at least 3 times so far, and read the whole of the Qur'an once.

4. Didn't do shit at all in my twenties. Too busy being a good Christian with long bouts of depression. My first degree, first non-family and non-cleaning job, first serious relationship ... all achieved in my thirties (35 now).

5. Studying is a pastime for me, just like watching Netflix and playing video games. I spend hours studying just for the sake of it, and enjoying it. When as a uni student, I'm one of those guys that always gets excited when exams are near, while everyone else around are shitting themselves.

6. After strongly suspecting being on the spectrum, I finally got myself assessed fairly recently and finally have the diagnosis I was after. Paid a lot of money, though, and now regret it a bit.

7. 7 is a number I really like. There's something neat and orderly and straight about it. In comparison, I don't like much curls like 6 or 8.

8. I used to pace around the house, coming up with really interesting fantasy stories in my mind. Most of these stories have yet to be penned down, but two stories I did end up writing were only ever read by one of my brothers, and he actually enjoyed reading them despite not being much of a reader. They have long since been burned to ashes because I came to realize I didn't really like these stories myself anymore, and they were very badly written.

9. Seeing really curly hairs on other people's heads used to really bug me when I was younger.

10. The only proud atheist in my whole extended family. I know of two other atheists in the family, but they're not public about it like I am.

OMG I love this thread so much. I'm learning all about y'all and it is putting life behind the screen names!

2.  I don't get the popularity of Nirvana or Jimmy Buffet.
5.  Babies and toddlers cause me to seek the nearest exit.  Don't like them at all.  And...not every baby is cute...sorry, but it has to be said.
6.  The sound of sneakers squeaking during a basketball game drives me to distraction.
8. The job(s) I enjoyed the most were when I was working as a bartender.
10. I miss having nipples.
1. Is your name your screen name? If so you are right, I have no idea how to say that.
2. Me either. I REALLY hate Nirvana's Sex and Candy song.
5. I agree, even with my own. I think she is absolutely gorgeous but if I'm being honest I would get someone not thinking she is even a little cute.
6. It's like we are connecting in our likes and dislikes. I refuse to watch a basketball game because of that sound!
8. Was it cause of the income, customers, atmosphere, etc? I feel like being a bar tender would be really cool.
10. ?

2. I don't like ham.  It smells (and I imagine tastes) like sweaty socks.  I love bacon, I'm okay with other forms of pork, but ham is gross
3. I have mild OCD, I think (never diagnosed).  In both this post and the last one, I removed all periods from the end of my items
4. I don't have a favorite color, but I have a favorite number.  It's 2.  1 just seems a bit too egotistical
7. I have 8 toes.  Was born with 10
9. I hate Judge Judy
10. Despite being a huge Transformers fan (it was essentially my religion when I was a kid), I have never owned an Optimus Prime or Megatron (or Starscream).  I have no idea why
1. In Bob's Burgers there is a line I quote all the time "Mmm this has great mouth feels" and I think because of that I would go see your band if you named it Unctuous Mouthfeel lol
2. I'm the opposite. I LOVE ham more than any other meat and strangely I DON'T like bacon. It's the texture I can't do. Love the smell but can't eat it.
3/4 Honestly everyone has OCD quirks to actually have the disorder like I do it's a bit more. Although a love of numbers is a trade mark sign. My number is 91. Obviously because it is a large number I can flip it to 19 and I have a preference for 1 and 9. I dislike even numbers unless they are multiples of 5.
7. Mind to tell us what happened?
9. What are your thoughts on Judge Alex?
10. What about Bumblebee? He seems to be a favorite after the movies came out.

My great grandmother's middle name was Lee, my grandfather's middle name was Lee, my mother's middle name is Lee, my middle name is Lee, my sister's middle name is Lee...there seemed to be a lack of imagination in the naming department in my family.

Added to that my father's middle name was Leroy and my niece's name is Leah.  I made sure that nonsense stopped when I named my kids.   Cool
You are going to love this then. My middle name is Lea (pronounced Lee) because my grandmother's middle name is Lee. I'm Amanda Lea, my sister is Jesse Lee, and youngest sister is Caitlin Leigh. My mom gave us all the same middle name but all with different spellings. I took this and passed it down to my daughter but because I hate people thinking my way is said Leah I gave my kid Charlotte Lee which is why we call her Charlie.

1. Imagine Dragons was a good choice for your first. They are one of my favorite bands!
3. Did you change it because you just didn't like your name or was there a reason? How old were you when you changed it? Was it difficult getting others to use your new name or did they already call you by it?

I never thought about its being a self fulfilling prophesy and laughed way too hard at that. Also if it is any consolation I own a F150 and TWICE have been at a COMPLETE stop and still got rear ended. Both times by little fucking cars. One being a Dodge Challenger. I was like What? Could you not see me in my huge ass vehicle? Did you think you could run me out of your way? (Mind you the first time put a hole in their car and mine got a barely visible dent in the bumper. The second made the Challenger into an accordion and bent my tail gate so I didn't take much damage)

7. I once beat up a huge guy with a bin lid. Twenty years later I am tired of the nickname 'bin lid'.
12. I realise how 'dad' my jokes are becoming and I can't seem to do a damn thing about it.
16. I was a nudist, as was the rest of my family, but I opted out at erection age and started wearing shorts on the family excursions.
17. I can make Carbonara better than anyone else in the world, maybe, but I have had people from all over the world tell me it's the best they've ever tasted.
3. Interesting combination. Rap and gardening sounds fun lol
5. Tell that to my goody little two shoes butt. My OCD makes me want to follow rules because rules are order and breaking them is chaos. I think the worst I've done was run red lights and speed.
7. At first I was like what is a bin lid? I thought the guy you beat up was wearing a bin lid or had one. It wasn't until a few moments later you mean you used a bin lid to beat him up and by bin you were referring to what I call a trash can. Took wayyyyy too long to figure that out and now feel silly.
12. I love that, dad jokes are great!
16. I want more details on this. What kinds of excursions did you have as a nude family? Were you always nude or just in certain times and places? I've never met a nudist before. (or prior one)
17. What's Carbonara?

Thanks to the genes I inherited from my father, I must treat my face twice daily so as to keep the redness and acne from taking over and making me uglier than I am already.  No, aging has not absolved the issue; at nearly forty, it is as bad as when I was younger.
7. When a coworker says something to another coworker, I overthink about what was said and somehow think it is about me; that the person is blaming me for some reason.  Most times when a coworker looks at me in passing, I believe the individual is thinking bad things about me.
8. I am not as calm as I may appear, as I have been informed by others, because my mind is always roiling with thoughts to the point that most nights I have difficulty trying to get to sleep because I cannot shut off the conscientious thoughts.
4. I feel ya. I don't want to wear make up daily but if I don't everyone can see all my acne and they think I'm still 15. I was promised that this was supposed to get better. It hasn't.
7/8. You and I seem similar in our anxiety. If someone is laughing near by I think it is making fun of me. If they whisper I think it is something about me. I often feel very self centered because of this. I love Linkin Park's song Heavy because it's like stepping into my head, especially the line "It's not like I make the choice to let my mind stay so fucking messy." This is why I sleep with the TV on and why in my own 10 Facts I said "My thoughts are too loud" Lyrics in case they speak to you as well

1. Music makes me cry a lot. I feel ya.
4. Not to diss on Hufflepuff but I'm Ravenclaw and when my husband wants to push my buttons he says I'm in Hufflepuff. I get irrational and yell that I'm not in stupid Hufflepuff! I have no idea why it triggers me lol
9. Lobster is take it or leave it, I'm not about to pay that much for food. Crab on the other hand I'm in love with. It's like saying eating chicken eggs is eating the chicken's period. Someone tried to get me to stop eating eggs with that one but it didn't work either. Then again I'm pretty fearless with what I eat lol

I would "write" my stories while zoning out. Riding on the bus, studying, these day while driving... Mine don't all get on paper either but I have found when I do write them down they stop bothering me so often.
