Creation of universes from nothing.

Creation of universes from nothing.
...by Professor Alexander Vilenkin:

Creation of universes from nothing

I wish that I could find the original paper, but here's the abstract at least:

Quote:A cosmological model is proposed in which the universe is created by quantum tunneling from literally nothing into a de Sitter space. After the tunneling, the model evolves along the lines of the inflationary scenario. This model does not have a big-bang singularity and does not require any initial or boundary conditions.

Hmmm....

I'd be reluctant to let go of boundary conditions. What else do you have?

If we live in a multiverse, just think of it as a cosmic orgy.

Here's a followup paper that fixed an error in the original:

Naw, naw - I have it on Everena's authority that such things aren't science, just people selling books. Shame on you, Jehanne.
