Power of Words
This is my art
My sliver tongue finding its way to paper
Taking its reader by the hand and past the horizon
To pastures new and taboo
This is my art
Coming from the heart
To evoke thoughtful discussion
Or provoke anger with repercussions
One verse I write with my pen
Reaches a million men
This is my art
For I understand the power of words
For it was the rain that helped flowers bloom
Not the thunder
For my sword may break
But my words cut deep
Words are powerful
Use them well
