Up and cooking at 5...finally done at 1. Meal consumed in under half an hour. Food was good...now I think I have room for pie.

My oldest and youngest were here...putting them together means smartassery reigns supreme. I am always the target. My son is quick with the one liners and my daughter encourages him. It was fun...I wish it lasted longer even though I told them I hate them both after a couple hours of being roasted by the smartest ass and his sidekick.

Happy Thanksgiving to those who partake.

No work till Monday and at least a couple days where I don't have to cook...and for those things I am thankful.

Actually, Turkey as a part of Thanksgiving likely didn't come until much later (though Alexander Hamilton was a big fan of Turkey on Thanksgiving).  Most likely, Turkey became so popular because it's so large and can feed many people.
