You got it exactly backwards: The big bang theory and the idea that time and space began is the result of evaluating data and prior knowledge. Namely the established fact(s) supported by data that the universe is expanding, acceleratingly expanding. Its not too hard what may the starting point of an expansion, isnt it?....unless of course you presuppose a deity which does not fit (in terms of: its unnecessary) into the picture.

It shows the fundamental flaw in your thinking, religion has removed the ability from your mind to be reasonable. I has infected you with the virus of having to make your conclusion first and then looking for arguments to arrive at said conclusion. You cant even think of other people having other thinking proccesses that lead to reasonable  results.

Thats how much you have been mentally crippled.

To be fair, there are apologists in every religion who do this.

I got it right<=my religion matches science when it does, and science is wrong when it doesn't<= Desired outcome.

In real scientific method the principle does not put the cart before the horse, nor does it fish for desired conclusions.

What we do know about human history however, is that there are TONS of dead gods and religions nobody buys today. It makes much more sense that humans buy these claims without critical thinking skills, and mostly ideas sold to them at birth. It also makes much more sense to me that humans are merely projecting their own desires/qualities in comic book form and falsely believe those projections to be real.

Pardon?

Ever heard of Islam or Hinduism?

The devout Christian is an atheist about "pagan" gods.

The only difference between the atheist and the Christian is that the atheist  just doesn't believe in one more god.

Is atheism a belief?  For some yes, for others no. Atheism is not a homogeneous position.

No, it's possible to be an atheist towards other religions as well.  I'm a polyatheist.  If Christianity had never existed, I would still be an atheist regarding Ahura Mazda or Zeus.

Atheism predates christianity. The oldest expression of atheism on record is somewhere around 1k years older than the oldest expression of christianity on record. That some random uncle ogg somewhere thought that uncle trogg was full of shit with his great fox stories 50k years before that is almost too obvious to need mentioning.

You've been informed of this, multiple times.

Um, wrong.

No christianity
approx. 2.2 billion more atheists.

How do you fail to understand that if christianity vanished tomorrow those 2.2 billion christians would believe in no god and would be atheists by definition.

You are wrong. No belief in gods would in fact make atheism irrelevant.

We are just here to put fantasy were it belongs.
