Movie Trailer heads up thread.
RE: Movie Trailer heads up thread.
A new movie about gay relationships.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

While I generally agree with the aphorism, 'Don't judge an MCU production by the trailer you see on YouTube' (George Eliot, c.1860), this has every indication of being just...awful:

Seems like the Magical Negro trope still sells.

Yeah, but Magical Negro has his own Wikipedia article

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magical_Negro

And if you read the article, it seems as if it was turned into the above movie.

"In the cinema of the United States, the Magical Negro is a supporting stock character who comes to the aid of white protagonists in a film. Magical Negro characters, who often possess special insight or mystical powers, have long been a tradition in American fiction."

It seems to be just me, but I don't like biopics about Elvis because no one can play Elvis and in this new one, the actor playing Elvis looks like some dumb kid

Willow is back. This time as a tv series.

I can not be non-cynical about it because I always considered Willow as a brain fart from filmmakers who wanted to film LOTR but couldn't get the book rights so they quickly ripped off LOTR as much as they could without getting sued.

Beavis and Butt-Head are back, and this looks like it could be interesting.
