Then why do you watch it? It's an exploitative "reality" TV show for dumb people, who don't give a f*ck about singing, dancing, or talent in general. They care about drama, which is why shows like this always emphasise/manufacture it. Skills are difficult to relate to, but everybody has a sob story of their own.

If you think, that this is what this show format is about and why it's still popular - you're being extremely naive. You want talent - go to a gig. AGT is all about emotional manipulation and making fun of retarded people. If you don't like it, do what I do - watch something else.
