Maybe it would help to think of it in terms of 'identity' instead of 'soul/spirit'. Genderfluidity entails the notion that a particular individual may not always identify with a particular gender, or always with the same gender.
I think you'd have a hard time making the case that 'LGBTQ2' is a religious appellation.

Not really, they say spirit or soul so that's what they mean, it's not an identity thing.

....................except that it is what they mean..again, the etymology of the term is cut and dry? That people may have once (or even still) thought that sexual identity was rooted in a "soul" doesn't change what they were trying to express with it's employment.

Well there’s the obvious, which is that this is just a way to describe someone who identifies as two genders.
Then there’s also the fact that even some atheists believe in spirits or souls.
2 spirit is just a way to call it, though. You don’t necessarily have to believe in spirits to be 2 spirited.
I think you’re making a big thing out of something that doesn’t need to be a thing though.

"That people may have once (or even still) thought that sexual identity was rooted in a "soul" Ahhhh. I never knew that or even thought of that. I wonder if there is a good place to ask First Nations peoples specifically about this term.
My big problem with it is that the government is using the term since it's from First Nations religions. I think I will try to get some info directly from different First Nations people and depending on what they say I will either have a major problem with it after that, or no problem at all

They mean a person who is not, as we would see it, lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgendered..but some "other" that existed in their culture.

This is what happens when a handful of billionaires buy up all of the news outlets. The left was supposed to be about uniting all people against wealth accruing to the top, so that the rich wouldn't become wealthier while the poor became poorer. So the billionaires bought the news outlets and redefined the left. They convinced a bunch of credulous people that the left is all about socially liberal identity politics. The left was supposed to be socially liberal for the purpose of uniting. But the billionaires used social liberalism to promote identity politics. And now we're taking sides in a fight between those who are for and those who are against modifying an acronym to represent Native Americans who self identify as two spirited.
And then everyone wonders why lefties despise libtards.
