Well there’s the obvious, which is that this is just a way to describe someone who identifies as two genders.

Then there’s also the fact that even some atheists believe in spirits or souls.

2 spirit is just a way to call it, though. You don’t necessarily have to believe in spirits to be 2 spirited.

I think you’re making a big thing out of something that doesn’t need to be a thing though.

"..identifies as two genders".

There is nothing about genders though, it's about spirits and last I heard spirits don't exist, there is no evidence for them.

"I think you’re making a big thing out of something that doesn’t need to be a thing though."
I don't think I'm making a big deal about it. I am against religion and the government should not be endorsing religion or teaching religion. To me, this feels like the government is endorsing a religion. I will always be against government endorsing a religion. I'm sure most atheists would also always be against the government endorsing a religion.

I've been confused by this and have no idea what to even think about it. You are probably familiar with the abbreviation LGBT or LGBTQ. Have you ever heard of LGBTQ2 though? This is the term that's used in Canada and I can't stand it. You're probably wondering what the 2 means right?

Apparently, the 2 supposedly means that a person has 2 spirits or 2 souls inside of them. I call BS on this term, 2 is not a thing because 1 is not a thing. There is no evidence or proof that spirits or souls exist at all so you can't claim to have 2 when not even 1 exists. Am I right?

It's infuriating and frustrating because it's like the government is pushing a religion or claiming that the First Nations religions are true.

What do you guys all think?

It is very explicitly "about that".

How fucking hard can this be to understand....?

Would you object to your government referring to 'The spirit of our great nation' or 'In the spirt of national harmony' or calling alcohol 'spirits'?

Leave it to you to get it exactly backwards. I made it about the damned billionaire owned media stirring up damned libtards with their damned identity politics for the damn billionaires.

No offense, but I don't really care if someone is gay, bi or trans or whatever else... I'm not going to treat them with kiddie gloves because "they already have enough to worry about." That's bullshit and you know it.

How about we first provide a definition for what a spirit is, then demonstrate that there is evidence for such a thing, THEN decide whether or not someone can be "two-spirited." From the definitions given in this thread, it sounds like a bunch of fucking nonsense.

That being said, I don't really care in the sense that it doesn't affect my life at all. Nor does someone being gay, bi or trans affect my life. But bullshit is bullshit, no matter what flavor you sprinkle on top of it.

LGBTQ2? What was wrong with the original LGBTQ? Also, if the Q can be flexible and cover both questioning or queer, why can't the T cover both two-spirit and transgender?

No offense, but if you think allowing someone to identify however they want and treating them with dignity and respect is considered treating them with kiddie gloves, that’s a problem with you

Tf are you talking about? Are you just intentionally straw-manning me here to feel morally superior or are you that dense?

Someone being gay isn't going to stop me from telling them that the idea of a spirit is nonsense. I'm not going to suspend logic and rational belief because someone wants to believe in fairy tales, regardless of their sexuality.

You can "identify" as Christian all you want, it doesn't make you any less full of shit, because god isn't real.

Human sexuality has nothing to do with spirits or souls. lol what are you talking about?

I they want to label themselves it's OK with me. I'd prefer to understand the person more than the label.
