Isn't it strange that the fake news crowd never seems to realize that they're being fed fake news? Trump calls her pocahontas to give racists a raging racist hard-on, because it works. We can all say whatever we want about the dipshit as a president..but the guy knows his brand.

Now while it is early in all this. I have to say, Warren didn't miss a beat in her announcement to run for President. It was smooth. 

She brought up female textile workers in the turn of the last century, and how they fought for good pay, and fought for unions. It that is not rust belt material, I don't know what is. And she rightfully said "bigotry has no place in the White House".

The good thing with her background is that she is a liberal, but grew up in a deeply red state in Oklahoma. I think she has a very good chance of translating the economics, between the struggling rural, struggling suburban, and struggling urban worker.

She brought up a point I had been saying for a long time. The top earners have had a long history of dividing zip codes. She is right. If wallet issues are what rural whites and urban blacks have in common, AND I AGREE, then the scam must be exposed, the division must be stopped, and we can unite against greed. Not to stop the private sector, but to put the checks of power back in place.

Her results placed her likely Native American ancestor at between 6 to 10 generations ago. That would make her between 1/64 and 1/1024 American Native. So her ancestor entered the family line between 180 to 300 years ago.  Trump is taking cheap shots at her over this. It is extremely common for American families to have a mythology about a Native American recent ancestor that the family members accept as being true. These family mythologies are frequently true, except that the ancestor was a couple of generations further back. Rather than a great grandmother that no living person knew, it was a great great great grandmother. You can't blame people for believing their family mythologies. And if Trump were an honest man, he'd pay the million bucks to the charity that Warren picked.

Perhaps Warren can shoot back by making fun of him for claiming to be a billionaire.

I have a problem with the way that this is being presented to the public. Warren's DNA only becomes the business of the Cherokee Nation or any other nation if she tries to formally affiliate with the Cherokee Nation. She hasn't tried to formally affiliate. She has Native American DNA, and she is perfectly entitled to feel proud of that heritage and claim it as her own. The Cherokee Nation is acting like she has claimed citizenship in the Cherokee Nation. She hasn't. She is like someone who says that they are German, and they get a DNA test that confirms they have German ancestry. And then Germany gets all bent out of shape, acting like they have claimed German citizenship, even though they haven't done that.

The Cherokee Nation has a right to internally do anything that they want, regarding Warren's DNA. But they don't have a right to dictate US policy, regarding Warren's DNA, or to tell Warren that she isn't allowed to be proud of her heritage.  The only thing that they have a right to do is decide that she either is or isn't formally a citizen of their nation. They don't have a right to interfere with her being proud of her genetic heritage. And yes, she absolutely can claim it on paperwork that asks about her heritage. If she has to be an enrolled member of a tribe to claim a benefit, then she can't claim that benefit. As far as I know, she has never claimed a benefit that required her to be an enrolled member of a tribe.

That being said, Warren's history of claiming to be American Native is a little bit of a turn off to me, because I feel that she probably did it as a self loathing white girl. She wanted to be something else.

he does this to people like boeing and lockheed who manufacture critical parts and assemblies and sub assemblies in china who is stealing our top secret technologies, and tax the hell out of them for importing their own product till it become cost effective to build back in the usa. If unit cost 25% less due to tarriff tax then it would be stupid to continue to manufacture in a place that cost more for the same product.. essentially the reason everyone moved over to china in reverse.

Trump is leveling the ecconomic playing field so we can compete in those foreign markets, where their products come here for free and our products are taxed to the point where no one can afford them. which seriously hinders our ablity to export while china controls the whole market.
