RE: DEEPSTATE?
I'd call the "Deep State" just the conglomeration of Federal employees that serve the US, but are not necessarily elected. There is a lot of inertia in the entrenched process, which I don't see as necessarily a bad thing. Just think if the dipshit in chief got to hire everyone he wanted (as if he has any qualifications beyond that stupid TV show) in the government. He's making enough of a mess, as it is.
If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

RE: DEEPSTATE?
There is no deep state in US.
Authoritarian countries have deep state.

Deep state usually means the most powerful force in country.

In US it will be CIA, FBI and pentagon.

And in last, trump is Putin’s boy.

RE: DEEPSTATE?
Deep-State in the USA is just inertia.

To clarify, inertia is a Newtonian principle that a body at rest tends to stay at rest and a body in motion tends to stay in motion. An external force is required to change this. The more massive the object, the more force is required to change its state. A heavy object at rest requires more force to accelerate it to a given speed than a lighter object at rest.

There is no such thing as, 'social inertia' but it does seem to work the same way. The more entrenched a social principle, the more force it takes to change it. A President (who already has constitutionally limited powers) is going to encounter more resistance the further he or she tries to move the yard stick.

The so-called Deep State is just simple resistance to change in a large organization.

RE: DEEPSTATE?
The thing is that Trump is conspiracy people's president so to keep that whole conspiracy theory business going they needed to invent a new set of government to blame for chemtrails, 9/11, vaccines, fluoride in toothpaste, homosexuality, atheism, feminism...
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
