They don't think they'll win an american citizen heading off to fight for ISIS? WTF are you talking about Shell? What jury, anywhere, would be hung on that shit, lol?
TLDR...theres no fuckin reason whatsoever that the US has begun to deny citizenship of insurgents. None, other than the reason that the US is currently ruled by incompetent pieces of shit who positively abhor the law and who could not survive it's application.

@Gae Bolger.
Mine is a serious question;.Which country did the girl harm, and how? I'm trying to understand the basis of the hysterical trail by media.
I've obviously missed something, probably because I haven't actually seen any evidence of any guilt, apart from some media reports. With respect, neither has anyone else here.
Treason is the most serious political crime, carrying the death penalty in some countries. The best I may reasonably say right now, is "I don't know"
I despise kangaroo courts, with people being tried without due process. This is precisely what is happening here with people baying for her blood . An obvious flaw is that people demanding blood seem ignorant of, or do not understand the concept of mitigation that the court is obliged to consider.
I guess in I'm in the minority, that's Ok. People are screaming "She's a traitor!!" All I'm asking is for the proof behind that judgement.
Funny that people will claim what an unreliable source the media is, until it reinforces their own views.

You don't have to actually harm -any- country to be guilty of treason. You only need to satisfy intent. If you are a subject of the united states and you intend to harm the united states...even if you fail to do so...you are a traitor.
Thankfully, most traitors, past and present, fail.

If these individuals are rendered stateless somehow, I wouldn't be adverse to them being handed over to the Syrian or Iraqi authorities to deal with.
They left their home countries, renounced their citizenship (and worse, in some cases), to go and join and potentially fight for, an organisation that is responsible for some truly heinous crimes, often knowing those crimes were being committed before they left.
By doing so they supported those attrocities. The group they joined committed those acts in, and against the people of Iraq and Syria.
If the authorities of those countries want to execute these people, I have no complaints.
Actions have consequences.

They didn't actually renounce their citizenship...that's the funny part. I can order a passport right now, set fire to it, and order another. That's american consumerism at work!
You "having no complaints" and there being no legal issues are not the same thing. /thread. Very few of us give a fuck...but there's a right way and wrong way to kill these assholes.

Where did I say I thought that, cracker? I said a prosecutor would have to want to try them and have enough evidence (no opinion on whether they should or do). You said prosecutors want to try everything. I said they don't. Where in there did I say that they don't want to try this particular case?

Currently, she's detained by the Federation of Northern Syria proto-government and they don't want to handle her, neither do they want to handle any other foreign fighters captured by the SDF/YPG. They are pressing governments to take back their nationals and judge them themselves. They claim to not have the resources to handle them. If she had been captured by Iraqi forces, the situation would have been different. They hang them themselves and already did so with about a dozen women captured after the fall of Mosul. The Syrian government also follows a similar politic and execute them. The reason we are talking about them is because the Kurdes don't want to handle them, they already have their arms full with homegrown ISIS members. If she is to pay for her actions in accordance with the law, it seems Americans will have to handle her.

Are you serious? I know I didn't say they wouldn't want to prosecute it because I know what I'm thinking and I can also read. You said prosecutors always want to prosecute. I said they throw out cases all the time and you took that to mean I thought they'd throw out this case. That's on you.

I do sometimes assume that we're talking about the same things, instead of unrelated tidbits, sure, lol. I did ask, directly afterward, if we were talking about the same thing. My bad.
