No one doubts that there are trolls. Flat earth is great poe material...though I doubt that the trolls are playing three dimensional chess.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I don't ignore them or debate them. They provide a source of mental curiosity, absurd humor and loathing.
Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

That's because Christianity is a troll of human mind (as is case with all religions).
I mean doesn't this sound like a typical Christian talk/ reasoning?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I'd have to say that it's hard to separate largely because it is appealing to Christian sources and Christian concepts and Christian authorities. It would be hard for it not to sound like typical Christian talk/reasoning because that's basically what it is. If you were to draw that parallel with a secular discussion of Rowbowtham's river experiment, or some of the arguments in Zetetic Astronomy, you might draw a different conclusion.

That stuff looks like catnip for credulous skeptics to me. It's oriented toward causing the emotional meltdowns that credulous skeptics are addicted to. And all the rest of us get entertained by watching an idiot have a cow.

To be honest I don't see flat Earthers anymore ridiculous than creationists and I do preclude that you consider creationists serious?
The thing is that guy is quite serious Christian whose other books are about how Jews are evil and are cause of all evil, like they're behind 9/11 attacks, and do you take anti semitism as a joke? And also, aside from homophobia, that flat Earth book has lots of hate speech toward Jews.
Or, indeed, maybe you're right and that guy is a racist but also has a great sense of humor so he jokes on the side about Earth being flat.
