This is the so-called slippery slope meme, that people are radicalized because they read and watch "soft" alt-right material. People are able to think for themself, you know.

Tell me, do you think the OK hand sign is an alt-right symbol? Because I have bad news for you; so is the pepe, honkler and pepe's many iterations, the thumbs up emoji, shaking hand emoji, etc.

This kind of thinking is exactly what the alt-right wants. For people to concede ground to them, making them more influential - when they're really not. This is what has happened with "classical liberalism" in this instance. The Mises institute has a more reliable definition for "classical liberalism" than what has been given to by the alt-right or dreamt up by the left.

Or...I'm telling you that the guy is part of the alt right pipeline, espousing an ideology which the majority of americans already accept in one form or another.   The irony of your question is that, yes...when the alt right takes some gesture and makes a big thing about it to "troll the libs" - it does become a part of their culture, one of their symbols.  That's how symbols work.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

The BUF had near to 2m voters at one stage, and long into the war enjoyed the support of Lord Rothermere and his Daily Heil.  Only for the war and the vagaries of FPTP he'd probably have had a long career propping up the Tories.

But did the BUF actually inspire major legislation from Ramsay MacDonald and Stanley Baldwin like UKIP ended up doing with Brexit? Outside of the Public Order Act of 1936, which existed to combat their influence, I mean. Maybe if the war hadn't ruined the Nazis' image they might have gotten further, but the fact remains that the war happened and they ended up being little more than a historical curiosity. Meanwhile, UKIP ends up having enough influence to convince David Cameron to hold a vote on whether to pull out of the EU. And they narrowly succeed. My point still stands that Farage still got further than Mosley.

Also, where are you getting the 2 million number? I'm looking it up and finding a maximum of 50,000 at its peak.
