This kind of thinking is exactly what the alt-right wants. For people to concede ground to them, making them more influential - when they're really not. This is what has happened with "classical liberalism" in this instance. The Mises institute has a more reliable definition for "classical liberalism" than what has been given to by the alt-right or dreamt up by the left.

The irony of your question is that, yes...when the alt right takes some gesture and makes a big thing about it to "troll the libs" - it does become a part of their culture, one of their symbols.
