Life on Mars?

Life on Mars?
I really hope this turns out to be true.

As Prof Pillinger said, methane in these sorts of volumes would normally indicate life as it needs to be replenished.

Fingers Crossed.

Interesting. (I'm going to have David Bowie in my head all morning now.) Paul Davies postulates that life on Earth may well have started on Mars in his 'The Origin of Life'. Not sure when I'll get a chance to read it.

That would be awesome indeed. I was actually thinking Bowie as well as I entered the thread. Smile

So was I. I saw all of the first series of life on Mars and also some ashes to ashes episodes. Ashes to Ashes is good but I prefer Life on Mars so far.

Oh and very interesting. Interesting indeed.

Btw, like 10 years ago I believe I heard in a newspaper that alien bacteria had been found on Mars.

I'm assuming it was discounted then.

Wow, I would love to see them find concrete evidence of alien life. . .even if it is just methane producing "organisms below the surface."

RE: Life on Mars?
It would certainly settle the "how did life begin" debate a bit more. If life can exist elsewhere in out own solar system, why not elsewhere?
