John Oliver made a nice video with the little help of Bill Nye about ecology, on what needs to be done, explaining Green New Deal which all gives sort of an uplifting (if not exciting) feeling that we are perhaps entering a new era of transforming the society despite the obstacles of corrupt politicians.

Under what conditions does the hemp plastic degrade? Does it go to some form of digester? Otherwise shelf life is an issue.

You know what would be rotten?  We get the environment straightened out (clean the oceans and atmosphere, get shut of IC engines, solved the power issues, etc) ...and then a big honking asteroid hits us dead centre.
