Not trolling; you said I didn't think the neural correlates were observable. Just wanted to make sure there were no misunderstandings.
Tell me more about why you think the relationship between a sensory stimuli and its perception is not causal, but rather correlative.

Anyone can click that link, and read what I wrote. You could too. I'll wait.

You wrote: "You think that we observe behaviors, not the neural correlates of consciousness." Perhaps I misread you, perhaps you made it up, doesn't matter. We've clarified that I do think neural correlates of consciousness are observable, and we're moving on.
What's more important is that you've said, "We observe..everything, by their correlating conscious experiences." So please, tell me more about why you think theres a correlative relationship between a sensory stimuli and its perception, not a causal relationship. Is there any confusion between correlations and causations?

You asked me to form a more charitable version of your position, without employing the stolen concept that you did.
It's simply a fact that we observe everything by some correlate. There is no man behind the glass of the eyes directly viewing any matter. We checked, he wasn't in there. It's an irrelevant aside, it doesn't matter if a person thinks there is or there isn't, or if we observe everything through correlation or we don't.
It's only important that, having chosen a position...any position, about anything......they do not assert, and thus require, the truth of what which they would disprove. That is a stolen concept fallacy.

I was thinking something more like...

It funnier if you're in on the joke, but not as badass.

Perception has a causal relationship with what is being observed: a receptor is stimulated, and a perception is formed. Do you agree? To call this interaction a correlation obfuscates the conversation.
You've already mashed up the scientific sense of observation, with the perceptual sense of observation. We observe through our senses. Science observes through its measurements.

Yes, measurements like the position of a needle on the face of a machine. "Voltage". Again, it doesn't matter whether you believe this is observation of voltage, or whether you believe it is not. It is only important..that whichever position you take, you do not require the truth of that which you seek to disprove.
