And what reasonably affordable technologies would you use to make a YouTube video?

An iPhone could have better video quality than that.  The webcam on my admittedly cheap laptop would be better quality.  If nothing else, get better lighting and learn to project your voice better.  Lighting isn't difficult; all you have to do is put a lamp behind your camera.

I think that "climate denial" means "The data showing that the Earth has warmed significantly in the last century has been faked." or "The climate scientists know it's the sun getting brighter causing global warming, but are hiding that.". I said nothing like that in the video.

Well, sea currents are a lot more sensitive to a slight decrease of salinity of seawater than sea organisms are, right?

Sure, France will ban all gasoline and diesel cars by 2050, and the UK will by 2040. And since AOC says the goal is to transition completely to clean and renewable energy sources by 2030, I guess that's what she meant.

An iPhone costs 10'000 kunas, and the average monthly wage is 5'500 kunas, it's not at all afordable here in Croatia. And it's even worse in near-by countries such as Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. And my laptop costs 8'000 kunas and it doesn't have a hole to plug an external microphone in.

I'm saying glass houses. Take care of your own first.

Example: https://www.telegraf.rs/uncategorized/1567053-10-of-the-biggest-problems-in-croatia-do-you-still-think-its-better-there-than-in-serbia
Well, a country in which a journalist working for a state-owned media (Večernji List) can publish an article like that obviously cares about free speech more than the US does. And that's more important to me than economic issues are. You have nothing if you have no rights.

I agree that the taxes in Croatia are higher than they should be. But you need to understand that Croatia, unlike the USA, isn't wasting the tax money on useless stuff, such as military spending or "green" energy sources. You also need to understand that the taxes in Croatia are still far lower than they are in Norway or Sweden (the taxes on wages there are around 50%), and yet the economy is better in Norway and Sweden than it is in Croatia.

And I actually think high interest rates are a good thing. Low interest rates make it appear that there are more resources in the economy than there really are and they lead to boom-and-bust economics.

And of course life in Croatia is better than in Serbia. If it weren't, people wouldn't swim over the Danube to get from Sombor to Vukovar.

Things you'll need if you want to start a YouTube channel:

A green screen

A decent camera

A decent microphone

https://www.borrowlenses.com/blog/best-c...r-youtube/

Check this^ article out for a list of both of those.

You'll also need a vision for your channel. What do you want it to be? What are you trying to say? And you will need to find a way to come up with fresh content on a regular basis.

Also, it might be good to take a tip from other YouTubers on how to start a channel. The video below is by the biggest YouTuber on the planet and he talks about how to start a channel with relatively cheap equipment.

Yeah, but still...
Glossing over or ignoring major potential impacts could come off that way to your intended audience.

I can easily see how some viewers might walk away with that perception. That's all I'm saying.

The drastic changes in cooling patterns brought about by impacted currents would be observed rather quickly, but I don't see how or why that would resolve the issue of climate change or eliminate the environmental threat imposed by rising sea levels and changes in oceanic chemistry--which presumably goes much further than "a slight decrease in salinity". Permafrost thaws as glacier ice melts, which potentially stands to emit a significant amount of carbon dioxide and methane into the atmosphere and release previously dormant bacteria and viruses into the Earth's oceans, as well as a variety of other toxins.

I'll watch that video when I have access to a decently fast Internet at home. For now, I can only use the painfully slow and expensive cellular Internet at home (you can't even get 4G where I live, the signal switches between EDGE and H+). Optima ISP has technical difficulties and is not able to add me as their user... for weeks now. I think I will abort that request and become a customer of T-COM ISP.

In the meantime, do you think I speak English well enough? My accent is not annoying to listen to, right?

Ah, that sucks. I have a friend who is in Bosnia or Croatia right now (I forget where her parents live) and I know she said she gets no cell service out there essentially, so she's pretty much off the grid when she goes to visit them.

And, your accent isn't annoying at all to me, but then again I grew up around Croatians my whole life, so I understand you without any effort. I often held full conversations with my friends' Croatian parents where we would understand little bits of what one another was saying and maybe had to have their kids translate the rest. For some people, especially those who are not used to that accent, they might find it difficult to keep up a little bit.

My hypothesis about perfecting accents in foreign languages is that if you are good at doing impressions, you will be good at imitating accents. Over time, through speaking little bits of Croatian, my friends' parents would tell me that my Croatian accent was perfect, even if I only knew a couple of phrases like "dobro jutro" or "kako si?"

If you can learn to imitate an American accent, even when you don't understand the words being said, over time, I believe, it will develop into an accent that comes naturally to you when your brain knows you're speaking English. So, maybe try to imitate the accent even if it sounds really unnatural or feels weird to you.

But, that's just my little pet theory and I have no idea how true that is or if that works for people. Accents have always been easy for me to imitate (I know a little Spanish, a little Mandarin and a little Croatian) and it always just came naturally to me, so it's hard for me to think of how to tell someone else how to do it.

Yeah, sometimes it gets that bad. Up until a few years ago, the signal of the TELE2 cellular provider on the island of Vir, where I used to have a summerhouse, was so low you couldn't make a phone call except from the shore. And, as far as I see, it's similar for all cellular networks even today in the town (or is it called a village, I don't know right now) of Tikveš, about an hour of driving north from the city of Osijek. I held a presentation about my work on toponyms there on a conference today: you can't rely on mobile phones there. But isn't the same true for many places in the US?

So far as I know, cell service is pretty reliable throughout most of the Sates. Though, some rural areas might struggle to get good service. I recently switched cell carriers; I left Verizon and couldn't be happier.
