Best dog I've ever known was Trixie, one of the border collies we had when I was a kid.  Smart and utterly fearless, more than once I saw her show a blackface ram who was the boss of the farm and no mistake about it.

Then again, she was justifiably afraid of Collin, one of the barn cats.
