Yeah, that appears to be a Hawaiian Day Octopus; the same species that jerk chick had stuck in her stupid wall. They're fascinating creatures, no doubt.
But they belong in the ocean.

I've always liked Israel Kamakawiwoʻole rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow", btw. Quite lovely and peaceful.

Last time I saw an octopus I hopped straight out of the water.
It was a blue ring.
I thought it was seaweed and was about to scoop it up until I saw the rings pulsating.

Most things in the ocean seem like alien lifeforms. I'm fairly certain that if Aliens existed, and were on Earth, they decided the deep sea was more to their liking than North America. Also yeah, a lot of people underestimate how much roaming space their pets need/prefer. My neighbor once attached a tracking collar to her dog, and let it run. Some of the pings were like half a mile away. That's how far her dog liked to wander, when it could.

The oceans are a 3D environment where skeletal structures aren't required for support, just leverage. More "odd" creatures survived because of this felicitous habitat.

That Hawaiian jamming was awesome! never heard of IZ before; not a big fan of ukulele, so my concentration was always on artists of guitars -especially electric-; like "Slash".

The jerk chick deserves a big ass fine and a trial. I hate people who get expensive,rare animals just to collect them around.
