If god is real, he can be experienced anywhere at anytime. There does not need to be a special place for a theist to be able to experience god. In fact, church is merely a place of socialization, and nothing more.

Every sheep farm needs a fleecing shed.
If churching is not declared an essential service, how are we supposed to get to Heaven?
I mean, come on, what are we supposed to do - go round bringing meds to shut-ins, or help out at a food bank? Sound kinda commie, if you ask me. Boru

God is all seeing and all knowing but will ignore you if you don't go to a special building to talk to him and tell him things he already knows .... prick!
The meek shall inherit the Earth, the rest of us will fly to the stars.
Never underestimate the power of very stupid people in large groups Arguing with an engineer is like wrestling with a pig in mud ..... after a while you realise that the pig likes it! Humans are social animals and that is hard wired into our evolution. Some people socialize by going to holy places, I socialize by going to sports bars during NFL season. But if this pandemic doesn't clear up by September, and it is far more likely it wont, because solving these things takes time, I damned sure am going to stay at home. I think the better argument so theists don't feel they are being singled out is to say, "They olympics were delayed, sports events have been delayed, concerts have been delayed. Nobody is singling you out based on religion." Mass gatherings regardless of content, are a bad idea right now. If they truly understand and care about others they will understand this. Those religionists who understand the need for social distancing and avoiding massed gatherings aren’t the problem. It’s already been explained to the rest, and they’ve refused. Boru

What is really fucking frightening is that Trump and the GOP are still insisting on the RNC convention which will host 50,000 people. They go, then they take it home and spread it even more.
