You have 1.5 seconds to make a decision.
Don't get me wrong, using a firearm was the wrong decision but biker has a valid point.
Was it done in cold blood or was it the wrong decision made in a heightened sense of panic. I think it might be the latter.
They wrestled on the floor for 30 seconds in a life or death situation
Also im not sure if race has too much to do with it, there was no reference to race.
If it was a white guy wouldn't result have been the same?
Does just the fact that he happens to be black make it a racial act?

The only person who appears to have been in a life or death situation is the dead man.
As for race, well..he wasn't caught driving, and he did want to walk home and sleep it off. That's a thing that some people get to do, if you weren't aware.
This one got sent somewhere other than home or a drunk tank. Is this the part of the script where we have to check the officers closet for a hood, and finding no hood, declare that absolutely nothing to do with race is involved? I think that murder apologists need new material.

You have 1.5 seconds to make a decision.
And yeah - the cop made the wrong one - probably....
We really don't know what would have happened next. At least MY crystal ball isn't working.
So yeah - I vote both are at fault.
I kinda doubt the cop would have shot the guy had he not gotten violent.
If you shoot someone in the back while they're running away, you're a murderer.
You can't kill someone to protect hostages if those hostages don't exist yet.
If I give you 10 cents change, when I should have given you twenty cents change and you blow my brains out with a gun, then we are both at fault.
Technically true, but still a stupid thing to say.
I also doubt the guy would have got shot if he hadn't gotten violent.
He seemed like a real nice guy.
1.5 seconds to make a decision?
Well, if he decided to murder in that short a time then it was probably racist act also.
A drunk just got your tazer.
How are you going to get it away from him?
What if he turns it on you?
He already overpowered you and another guy.
Is he going to use your tazer on YOU? Then take your gun?
...
Too late. It took you far longer to read this than the cop was given to make a decision.
Murder requires intent.
Clearly he did not have the time to form that intent.
Not murder.

In a way yes it did.
I don't understand how it took 40 minutes but. Is that usual time? Cos over here they will process you in a flash.
Also what the hell does the cop say just before attempting to cuff him??? I can't make it out cos im a mong... LoL
Bolga Wrote:He was trying to leverage call and response behavior to get the man to say something which could be construed as an admission of guilt to a crime he wasn't actually caught committing, agno.
"Call and response behaviour" it sounds like a trap. Can u elaborate pls

I wonder if BLM are aware of the...beyond ironic...tragically paradoxical? Anyway, the fact that it is, in all likelihood, their deeds, protesting and activism which made these two men resist arrest through mistrust/hatred/fear of the police and which lead, through that resistance, in turn, to their deaths by and large, which BLM will of course protest.......talk about a vicious circle.

Sure, the people protesting police brutality are responsible for..wait for it...police brutality.
Apparently, it's a murder bus - and under no circumstances are we allowed to posit that it is ultimately the responsibility of those agents of the state to terminate any such vicious circle. Though, I should probably have worded that better, we know how the cops like to terminate vicious things.

Again - you flapping your yap about something you don't know about.
A tazer IS considered a "less than lethal" weapon.
They are not "not lethal weapons".
Many states require a concealed carry permit to carry a tazer. Here in Michigan extra training is required.
Pepper spray (but not mace) is a non-lethal weapon.

Tell that to the police dept in question. They're certainly free to pick one side or the other of things they're currently arguing before the same court. Either way they decide to go with it will provide a lever for improvement. The current sop of heads I win tails you lose isn't a stellar example of a properly functioning law enforcement system.

I admit I hadn't thought of that.
But he had plenty of time to form intent while he was getting punched in the face.
