Sorry, ‘lead to the culprits’? The hijackers were all killed, you you can’t mean them. If you mean the organizations responsible, how did her information lead to them (the article doesn’t say)?

It was a flight attendant named Madeline Amy Sweeney who identified Mohammad Atta as one of the hijackers, not Betty Ong. The FBI identified the others.

You can think whatever you like, of course. But it’s as easy to get these things right as it is to get them wrong. Read the transcript of the audio you posted. Ms. Ong did nothing that lead to the culprits.

Ong gave the seat assignments, those are recorded based on ticket sales. She didn't have to say the names. The names were attached to the seats upon the sale.
