Those Political Memes
RE: Those Political Memes
[Image: Vote4.webp]
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

I wondered if this is only a meme but as Guardian mentions people really do wear it. After Lenin was shot nobody worn similar crap, after Hitler was nearly not so nearly killed nobody worn some strange crap to "show support". So are trump fans more deranged than supporters of Lenin and Hitler? Sure seems so at least in this case.

^Ear pads or not, Trump supporters are definitely deranged. He keeps adding things to his list...injecting bleach, shining a light up your butt, taking horse medicine....the list is long and definitely deranged.

It's also hilarious. I mean I could understand that some people want fascist in power, it's stupid but far from uncommon as history teaches us. But when dude tells you to use horse deworming medicine and you aren't reevaluating things then shit gets (un)real.

If my dad were still alive I think that may have been what pushed him from his Republican leaning.  He was a veterinarian...that may have been the tipping point.

It should push everyone. Being supporter of fascist is understandable if abhorrent whereas standing beside guy who is simply dumb and whose advice might be harmful is something that I have trouble comprehending.
