If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.

Having a major gout flare-up, second in a couple of months, and I think I might need to visit a doctor tomorrow to get officially diagnosed.

Allopurinol is what you need - metabolises that uric acid and prevents crystalline build up pronto style. Haven't had a gout incident for pushing on 3 years now.

In other news, my next username change is projected to be to:  "Do It To Julia"

I think so, but not sure, also I'm UK based not US. I have a repeat prescription for 1*100mg tablet every day.

Saw the doctor this morning. X-rays were taken, and after they have been reviewed by a radiologists I will receive a call from her.

I can walk better today, there's barely any pain since taking the Ibuprofen yesterday afternoon, so I will return to work tonight.

So, the doctor confirmed, after not finding a fracture in the x-ray, that it is gout. She never offered medication as an option; instead, she simply mentioned altering my diet and informed me that I could call her if I have any questions.
