It’s called ‘discredit the witness.’  You’re perfectly correct that it doesn’t have anything to do with Floyd’s death. If the defense can get the clerk to admit that underage people are allowed it that section of the shop, he can establish in the jurors’ minds that the witness is unreliable, so ANY witness could be unreliable.

It’s a very common courtroom tactic and is frequently used when the prosecution have a very strong case, such as video of a cop kneeling on someone’s neck until (and after) that someone died.

Funny thing about that... after the first plane hit, there were witnesses and news people thinking it was an accident, not a terrorist attack.

And we had no idea that people in the Saudi government funded the hijackers, until that info was made public many years later.

Yes, I do believe some media reported that there may be explosive devices in the buildings, and some firefighters and others were claiming that they heard explosives going off. This was an illusion and they were not hearing what they thought they were hearing of course, but this was initially being reported as a possibility.

A lot of people thought it was an accident when they first announced the plane flying into the first building but it certainly didn't take years to figure out who was behind it.  

It was a very short time that the second plane hit, then the one at the Pentagon and in Pennsylvania.

It didn't take years to find out that Saudi officials funded the hijackers. It just took years for the common man to be told the truth. That info was just kept classified to protect the Saudi government, one of the US's top allies.

And as far as media members thinking there were bombs in the buildings..
