GOP chooses to protect former guy and big lie.

GOP chooses to protect former guy and big lie.
Just now, the Senate GOP obstructed a congressional investigation of January 6th. I cannot fucking believe, that these assholes don't care that 140 police officers were injured, and 3 died protecting them from assholes who were shouting "hang Mike Pence".

Mitch and the GOP falsely want to claim that the Democrats are the ones making this political, and that is why they voted against the congressional investigation. Unfortunately this isn't surprising, knowing that Mitch obstructed Garland's SCOTUS nomination for almost a year, then in less than two weeks after RBG died, shoved their SCOTUS pick in.

The GOP cannot be reasoned with. They only care about power.

They have nothing to gain and everything to lose from supporting a commission. Same reason they'll refuse to help americans for at least the next three years. They're alot of things, but they're not suckers - that's yalls bag. Wink

Rejecting the commission is largely the Democrats’ fault. It they had run better candidates and campaigns last year, they might very well have their supermajority now.

Things the Republicans think are crises warranting investigation:

—Hillary Clinton’s emails
—The Southern Border
—Hunter Biden’s laptop
—“Cancel Culture”
—“Wokeness”
—Political Correctness
—“Voter fraud”
—Benghazi

Things they don’t:
—A terrorist attack on the Capitol incited by Trump
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The reason the GOP uses social issues is because they know damned well they cant win with economic arguments, outside "Jeff Bezos will end up eating cat food if you raise his taxes."

The GOP has no fucking concern for anyone but their own power.

uh huh....

And where was the outrage when last summer's riots --- er --- protests killed 19-58 people and injured hundreds of LEOs and caused billions of dollars in damage??? (apparently the media only counts heart attacks as a "legit" DOA if it's a GOP "riot/protest/insurrection/barn dance" (choose one ) -- so your numbers will vary...)

What "riots" last summer were intent on overthrowing government?
You cant understand the difference between, "STOP KICKING ME IN THE NUTS" and " I fear changing demographics". Blacks are saying "stop kicking me in the nuts." Trumpsters are merely white assholes afriad of changing demographics.
Martin Luther King Jr, "A riot is the language of the unheard."
Watts being burned down in the 60s after his murder was not an attempt to overthrow anything. Just a reaction of frustration.
White people losing an election does not justify 140 police officers being injured, from everything from losing an eye, to losing fingers, to murder and two suicides from PTSD. Are you telling me those police officers who got paid to protect domestic terrorists who shouted "Hang Mike Pence" are equal to blacks, back in the 60s who responded to Martin Luther King Jr being murderd? YOU CANNOT EQUATE THE TWO.
So please, try to stupidly argue that if George Floyd only cooperated he'd be alive.
Tell Capital Officer Goodman, who was chased by white nationalist assholes, who distracted them, and whom would have harmed or murdered members of congress if they had gotten to them, that Goodman, WHO WAS PROTECTING GOP MEMBERS TOO, that BLM is just as terrorists as the KKK.

Wasn't possible.  If they held both of their vulnerable seats and took all twelve vulnerable reds, they'd still be a vote shy today.  They held one, took four.

Quote:And where was the outrage when last summer's riots --- er --- protests
The outrage that they were 93 percent peaceful and that the riots were either due to the police's poor handling of the protests or by groups that BLM distanced themselves from when they began self-policing or by people who nothing to do the protests period. Compare this to the insurrectionists whose overall goal was overturning a fair and free election and murdering their political enemies. One movement was a good movement with a minority of bad or bad unaffiliated actors the other was a bad moment made of bad actors. So this comparison is stupid.

Quote:killed 19-58 people and injured hundreds of LEOs and caused billions of dollars in damage???
1.The  2.2 billion in INSURED damage. Sorry if I care more about the peaceful transition of power to the INSURED finical woes of a Target. Even more so because a lot of the businesses were already shut down due to covid

2. Citation needed for the deaths and injuries. But most of the deaths or injuries were either unintentional or were due to the police's poor handling and heavy-handed tactics of the protests which caused more violence than it stopped. Compare this to the insurrectionist who intended to hurt people and kill people.

Quote:(apparently, the media only counts heart attacks as a "legit" DOA if it's a GOP "riot/protest/insurrection/barn dance" (choose one ) -- so your numbers will vary...)
It happened at the insurrection so it counts as death there and no one gives a fuck if like it or not, And yes it was insurrection no matter how much and try to deny it or pretend there is some kind of ambiguity about it.

So any other FOX News talking points you want to repeat like a parrot

Quote:the line between riot and protest is always drawn by the observer and their biases....
No, it isn't. One movement was a group mostly made of good people with a minority of bad or unaligned actors often in response to outside antagonism. The other was a group of insurrectionists who loudly and proudly stated their reason for being at the capital and none of it was good. So you can shove your make-belief of ambiguity and subjectivity on this right up your backside.

Quote:You are ALWAYS going to call anything the GOP does as evil/seditious/un-american/bad/ect.....

Simply stomping your feet and crying "you're a biased poo-poo head" isn't an argument.
