Illinois Bans Book Bans
Quote:Introduced by Illinois’ Secretary of State, Alexi Giannoulias, the bill stipulates that libraries must adopt an anti-book banning policy in order to receive state funding.
The legislation has passed both the Illinois House and the Illinois Senate and will take effect on Jan. 1, 2024, if Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker signs the bill as expected.

Al Pacino is outdoing his rival De Niro and becoming a dad at 82.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Florida - An 11-month-old baby died after being left in a hot car for 3 hours while the parents attended church.
The police chief called it an “unfortunate accident” and hasn’t filed charges.

God definitely wasn't at that church.

These reports will bring up the 'put something important in the back seat' warnings. They say to put your purse or your phone in the back seat so you don't forget the baby. It seems to me that the baby should be somewhat important enough to remember.

Yes it was. It had to watch its plan unfold.

Most likely the parents accepted it was all part of the good lords plan like the xian authorities did.
Unless you are talking about god? god can do whatever it wants to what it created.

At least they are not eating at McDonald
Quote:Teens eat swan they grabbed from New York village pond
The swan, who was named "Faye" by village residents, was allegedly eaten as a Memorial Day dinner. The teens told police that they mistook Faye for a large duck.
“They did not know that it was a swan, and they did not know that it was not a wild animal, that it was actually owned by the Village of Manlius,” Manlius Police Sgt. Ken Hatter said.
The three teens were charged with felony grand larceny and criminal mischief, as well as misdemeanor conspiracy and criminal trespass.
