Like many others, Biker has been conditioned to see criminals as martyrs, and protestors as terrorists, on the basis of a fanciful and entirely self defeating narrative of victimization.
One wonders what we should do if his funhouse mirror version of literally anything we’re actually true. If we were being victimized by an oppressive state that abrogates our rights and stigmatizes us and discriminated against us and refuses us our pride and decency….is replacing us culturally, politically, or biologically.

Yes, because there’s laws in Chicago that criminalize keeping a gun without a permit. You may not consider those laws valid, but the CPD has jurisdiction in this case and you don’t. And it looks like, more than anything else, the possession charge is just a placeholder charge until they get anything positive on more serious charges that the FBI and joint task force are looking into, like how they held Timothy McVeigh on charges related to his license plate until they were sure he was the guy who bombed the Alfred P. Murray Federal Building.

Given that the gun was initially spotted in a position that made it look like he was planning on turning it into a sniper's nest, I'm currently leaning more towards the latter. Odds are, more information will come later to see whether he actually was the next potential mass shooter or just an irresponsible gun owner.
Also, Biker has made abundantly clear that he doesn't consider your numbered points to be valid reasons for the police to bother with him. And given his pattern of whinging about police investigating crimes that fizzled out (even if it's just because the bomb squad disarmed bombs before they could detonate), he might not even have considered the potential sniper's nest to be a valid reason if it hadn't killed anyone.
