Quote:Country-style ribs aren't ribs at all, but blade steaks or chops. Cut from the blade portion of the loin's shoulder end, they often include part of the upper rib bones, though they may be boneless. They have a lot of connective tissue and fat, making them ideal for barbecue, not unlike real ribs.  This flavorful cut, which is thicker and meatier than spareribs and baby backs, takes well to moist cooking methods, like braising, which melt its connective tissue into tenderness.

My boss just sent me a text inviting me to meet for coffee on Friday and said she gave me a raise!

That's great news for a payroll day which is usually a rough, long day.

Happy dance!

Jaime Lee Curtis has condoms made with a picture of her face on the packet. She gives them to men she has love scenes with on film.

Two things:
1) Apparently, the little tip on the pickup selector switches of Fender guitars aren't quite as interchangeable as one might think. While they can be switched from Strat to Tele (something I've planned on doing with my Esquire for Jeff Beck-related reasons), some are built for (and can fit) American-built guitars and some can only fit Asian-built guitars. Fortunately, I managed to find one that fits both.

2) Watching Girl, Interrupted one thing that's really noticeable is that the three main girls' diagnoses seem to be way off. Susanna's illness seems more like Bipolar disorder than BPD, Lisa's ironically more Borderline than sociopathic, and I strongly suspect that Daisy has an ASD (in addition to a whole host of other things which may or may not be related to her situation with her dad.)
3) Evidently, in the late 60s, they had something that allowed 45s to play on repeat ad infinitum. I'm not sure why I didn't know this was a thing that existed pre-CDs, but I didn't. It probably wouldn't be too good for the record in the long run, but I guess that if you were expecting to be dead by the first couple plays, that wouldn't matter.

I apparently have muscles I didn't know I had. I spent a good part of the afternoon yesterday laying out quilts, batting, and backing. This involved crawling around on the floor of a mostly unused bedroom. It's a good thing I didn't do the fourth one as I probably wouldn't be able to move today.
