If you get to thinking you’re a person of some influence, try ordering somebody else’s dog around.
In the show Extraordinary, there's an episode where a spoiled little dog will only give out information if he has a non-dog day. One of the characters can communicate with animals. Anywho, at the end of the adventure, the dog doesn't want to return home, but to experience life as his ancestors did when they were free, and he gets run over by a car. It was funny.

We have blocked the gate escape and the gate at the foot of the stairs blocks the front door...hopefully that helps. Along with the danger of cars, we also have the danger of coyotes...and my dogs aren't exactly fighters. Recently someone nearby had a small dog plucked out of the back yard by a hawk...so we stay pretty vigilant. Husband will be more vigilant now, I hope. sigh (March 4, 2023 at 11:39 pm)arewethereyet Wrote:(March 4, 2023 at 11:26 pm)Fireball Wrote: That way lies death under the wheels of vehicles, so I understand your concern. Our Maltese dogs weighed less than 7 pounds, each. It would have been pretty creepy to see a hawk swoop in and take one. They've both been gone for years. I sure wish we could have cloned one of them; she was such a sweet gentle dog. Ever seen a dog in a box with a hamster, that (the hamster) was not afraid? Or how about a dog touching noses with a lizard, in the back yard? That was Daisy. She ate moths, and was deathly afraid of June bugs. ![]()
