Why? To see if Francis was a blasfemur?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

What happened with resting in peace? Let's say you are a Tolkien fan, would you like to look at his corpse up close right now?

Of course I wouldn't, but the cases aren't parallel. Christians have had a fetish for magical bones ever since they accepted the tale about Elisha's bringing a dead man back to life. So, putting Francis' on display is perfectly consistent with their worldview (not to mention the history of the Church), however cringey it seems to you and me. I don't see anything stupid about it.

It’s just amazing the lengths to which the libtards will go to cover up their lies.

Another pastor telling women to "joyfully submit" to their husbands as an example to the "insubordinate feminist women" of the world: "Our duty as the church is to tell the world what is normal."

I wish someone would tell my wife that she must 'joyfully submit' to me. I likes to watch a good disemboweling, I does.
And Pastor Dale wouldn't know 'normal' if it kicked him in the teeth.
