Here's another cool opitical illusion and it's one of my favorites. It was originated by Roger Shepard and it's called "Turning the Tables."

Question:
Do you think that the surface of the tables drawn below have different sizes?

Well, believe it or not, the size of the adjacent tables in each of the pictures are actually the same. I wasn't totally sure whether or not that the second one is real, but when I rotated one of the tables and moved it close to the other table, it appears that the dimensions are exactly the same. I think you meant "same shape and size". Surfaces can be different shapes and still have the same size. For instance, a 2x2 surface has the same "size" as a 4x1 table, but obviously has a different shape. Big Grin
