Climatology.

RE: Climatology.
At work.

Yes Oldandeasilyconfused, that is exactly what it means.

Instead of a nice rain front tens of thousands of kilometers across you might get a raging heat engine of destruction only hundreds of kilometers across.

Instead of hot balmy winds you might get intense 'Willy-willys' with enough heat to possibly cause flare ups.

Instead of a 'Pounding surf' pushed up by strong on shore winds pushing sandbanks around you get raging waves with enough energy to strip acres of land from coast lines.

More energy in the system means the bigger a b!tch mother nature gets to be.

Cheers.

Ah. So I'm in error?  No link necessarily between humidity and rain? Does it mean that other extreme weather events such as cyclones occur when the air is hot and dry?

The US has wild fires. We have bush fires.  We even have bushfire season every summer beginning in early October.. There are signs along roads warning of the level of danger, from mild to extreme. On extreme days outside fires are not permitted anywhere.

On such days children are not allowed out of doors because they burn into little crisps and blow away.

WOW! Really?  oh, of course. Would I lie?  Angel

The science is clear, and climate scientists are in an extreme majority agreement that humans are damaging the planet's natural atmospheric norms by burning greenhouse gasses and fossil fuels. Not sure what you are getting at with this response.

I don't think total humidity automatically means more rain (relative humidity is what matters).  I think climate change will turn many places into deserts.

But yes, the the heat and humidity will create huge storms in some places, when they hit colder air.

(disclaimer - I'm not a climate scientist)

RE: Climatology.
Climate change is like a very large dinner party at an expensive mansion with hundreds of guests.

Imagine each minute is 10,000 years.
The dinner party is fairly orderly for the first few hours. There might be some minor incidents along the way but nothing that can't naturally be handled.

As the evening goes on more wine is consumed after dinner is over. As people drink more, the environment of the party begins to change. There are more incidents that get wildly out of control. The flirty girl is now dancing on the bar. Guys are throwing champagne glasses in the fireplace. Some guy is passed out in the rose bushes.

Adding more energy to our climate is going to have a runaway effect and there is no leaving the party. Things are going to continue to get worse until eventually, everyone dies from alcohol poisoning.

Or in our case, from crop failure, farm animal extinction due to lack of food and clean water, more disease, more famine, more war over resources, and then death.

It's not about capitalism and we can let our species die.
If there is a solution, it will be this.

The solution is to kill off the countries that pollute the most in order to save the people who pollute the least.

Or we can all die

Too subtle? Apologies. I was agreeing with you by using what usually passes for my wit.

I don't even think that Donald Trump is going to support this idea, especially, considering that the United States is one of the leading per capita greenhouse gas emitters.

Trump would be the first to be nuked. He's the biggest pile of shit in the country. His brain can't support ideas anyway.

Why did you bring up his name ?
Now I feel dirty. I need to scrub my brain.
