Oh, sure, I could make room on the 'I Love Me Shelf' for another, but I already have six. Any more would just be gauche.

I WILL find that webcam you've got hidden in my house.

Day of remembrance. Nothing much happening for me today.

Had to go out a couple of hours ago.
I live in a culturally diverse area. In my street alone, there are your typical Anglo-Celt Aussies, a Sudanese family, a Muslim family and a Sikh family
In the nearly three decades I've lived here, I've rarely seen an hijab. Today I saw what seemed to be a woman in full burqa, walking along the foot path with a young man at her side. If the family is that conservative, she would not be permitted to leave the house alone.
My reaction was sadness rather than anger. I realised almost immediately that neither reaction is appropriate. The pair were not breaking any laws as far as I could see--IT"S REALLY, TRULY, ROOLY , NONE OF MY BUSINESS.
I think that experience alone justifies getting up this morning.

Hey, Iggy!
You're Greek. Are you interested in helping me with an historical re-enactment of the Battle of Thermopolae?
The last bit?

Know nothing about it, sorry. But if I am to guess, coming from you, I probably die a painful death?
(if mum and dad wanted their kids to be Greek, they should have stayed in Greece. My sisters and I can barely speak it now, sadly)

Good on yer. I came to the conclusion long ago that chief key to my essential happiness is minding my own bloody business.
