Man claims to hunt non-binaries

Man claims to hunt non-binaries
I’m guessing this is a guy from the United States who is upset with transgender people.
He is probably a christian.
The video is titled “Snipe hunting. The lord’s work”.

Man Wearing "F Joe Biden" Hoodie Attempts to Kidnap "Non-Binaries"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT1YbgU_nu0
By David Pakman Show
Length = 7:07

@ 2:44 “if you see a non-binary, snatch him up”
@ 2:07 “This may come off as transphobic but it is not. I am doing the lord’s work. I’m trying to help people.”

David Pakman says:
@ 4:50 “I don’t know if the solution is to get liberals into these reds states or to get trans people out of these places.”

I would say the solution is to allow such people to express their frustrations with the world. Rather than deleting the video, start a conversation.
More importantly, talk about religions in schools. Talk about the popular religions and how they harm people. Talk about what evidence means, talk about skepticism.
We have to keep in mind that such people see themselves as the good guy trying to be in the army of the ultimate good guy general.
Deprogramming them is not easy.

Wow. I dig the spirit of starting a conversation. And, yeah. People like that often see themselves as "the hero." But this fella seems a few bricks shy. How exactly would a conversation with him proceed? I have low expectations.

I could be wrong about that. Maybe this guy would benefit from an open discussion. And furthermore, maybe some people who are teetering on the edge may benefit from listening to [the attempt at] a conversation... if anything just to see how ugly and ignorant the anti-trans movement can be.

But I'm not holding my breath. I'm almost thinking Poe's law here. This guy is an idiot.

Also, I suspect that he is using "treatment" as a euphemism for violence. So there's that, too.

I think I’ve mentioned before that part of me thinks that the only way to contain the problem may be to take the areas where this sort of shit is normalized and making them into their own Balkanized nations, but that the rest of me knows that this is more or less inevitably going to lead to a massive humanitarian crisis for everyone in there except maybe the white cishet Christian men who aren’t inclined to think this sort of shit is wrong.

Transgender and non-binary aren't the same thing.

Nobody here is claiming they are. But the person in the video seems to lack knowledge that they are distinct.

The person in the discussion/argument would likely not benefit. He is probably very much committed to doing the lord's work.
I am thinking that some of the audience might benefit.
It is sort of like watching "Day's of our lives", Dynasty, "As the world turns", "All my children", "Coronation Street" and such shows. You watch them to learn to not be killers, backstabers, adulterers, assholes, jerks.
You watch them and maybe you talk about them with your family and friends and you comment on them about how screwed up they are.

I am assuming that such shows are about backstabbing. I don't watch them but I have seen a couple of episodes of "Coronation Street".

I’m all for discussions and debates but this guy sounds dangerous. The first message that needs to be sent is that such behavior or threats of behavior will not be accepted. The man has a right to his beliefs. He has a right to dislike someone, even if it makes him a bigot. However, he does not have the right to discriminate, and nobody has the right to “snatch” ANYONE, unless you are an officer with a warrant for someone’s arrest, or if you are a parent whose small child ran off in public and needs retrieval. I don’t think that’s up for debate as it’s quite decisive, common sense, and it ain’t rocket science. What this guy is proposing would be absolutely criminal if attempted.
