The best fooseball players I have ever seen were all Iranian. (circa 1978). 

I worked in an arcade in Kalamazoo Mi - and foriegn exchange students from Iran (who all drove expensive European cars) going to school at WMU were phenominal fooseball players. They used to bet serious $$$ - $100 a ball wasn' t unheard of.

I had a couple teach me some -  and I got good - for an American.. I still had no chance of ever beating them...
