Sometimes the soul forge gives a kid cancer...not because cancer will improve that kid - but because that kids cancer might improve your attitude.
It's a cracked eggs to omelettes thing.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

However, it has been proven that eating food which is unclean can make your immune system stronger, in the same way that a vaccine provides your body with a weakened version of a virus so that your immune system can learn how to fight that virus.
Ultimately Job's faith was made stronger, not weaker, by the suffering poured out upon him. And would if one man's suffering could inspire 10,000 more to lead a more virtuous life as a result? Job is a book which separates the wheat from the chaff, those who just want rewards for doing the right thing might not make it through tribulation if they believe in a simple God who always punishes evil right away, and always rewards good here on earth. Sometimes we have to wait longer than we would like for God's justice to shine.
Why wait? Job could just stop drinking fluids then be dead and rewarded within a week.

If god wants you to live through some fucked up shit, you will. There's no particular reason, and you'd be a heretic to ask. It's right there in job.

How good can your morals be if they cannot endure suffering?

Good and bad morals alike might harden a person to withstand suffering. One might wonder if your question applies to attempts to evade suffering as a consequence of just moral judgement, too.
Entirely beside the point of job, though - as his morals weren't being tested, and his trial had nothing to do with any act of moral import, as the story makes plainly clear.

And how good can your morals be if, besides suffering, you fail to grovel like a worm and kiss the tyrant god's ass?

How is it possible to be moral enough to withstand suffering in the presence of a God who allows torment for shits and giggles? There was no sensible reason for God to permit Satan to visit all that suffering on Job. No reason.

Life has lots of challenges that upset or hurt us. No one gets a pass on suffering - it informs all aspects of our lives.
A god choosing to allow more suffering as a test? Vile. Simply vile.
