And his MAGAt followers swallow that shit like candy.

Doesn't listen either ... major failing in any "leader".

Confederate statues are “history” but a rainbow crosswalk dedicated to victims of a mass shooting is “political.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Put another way, "gays are worse than traitors."

It also demonstrates how cowardly Republicans are when, rather than fighting white supremacists, Putin, and the orange fascist, they bully gays, trans people, and immigrants.

Cowardliness aside right wing clowns have no reason to fight with their allies.
The first revolt is against the supreme tyranny of theology, of the phantom of God. As long as we have a master in heaven, we will be slaves on earth.

They hate gays so much that they will defend monuments to men who broke their oaths while they remove a rainbow crosswalk, or change the name of a ship because the namesake is notable gay.

They would rather honor people who fought against the United States than even have a smidgen of paint on some asphalt to memorialize 53 gays murdered in a hate crime. It isn't about cowardice, it's about intent. This isn't being afraid, this is being aggressively anti ... so much so that they prefer to honor men who took up arms against our nation in order to keep subjugated millions of black slaves.

These conservative fucks would rather honor defenders of slavery than gay folk. This is not cowardice. It's aggression. They are telling everyone what they stand for.

The more I read about it, the more I'm convinced that Republicans are NOT going to cancel the 2026 midterm election. They're going to steal it by a combination of gerrymandering and disenfranchising millions of voters - the elderly, the disabled, rural voters, and overseas military personnel.

When very stupid people make the claim that the Civil War wasn't about slavery, but about state's rights, I've found it very useful to ask them, 'State's rights to do WHAT, exactly?'
