Whats your view on Threat Actors

Its mainly tied to cybersecurity and issues often tied to an organization or companies.
Basically a Threat Actor goal is to do something for their own benefit. There is lots of factors to this. For example Internet Research Agency is a Russian Threat Actor is one example, or Project Sauron which i am not sure who is sponsoring. It has been more focus on the concern around it in recent year, to avoid leaked information or influencing certain elections
It can be either idealogues who do it for either activism or ideological reasons.
Trolls is harder to argue about because some do it for thrills at first but some can develop into a full scale troll which deals in misinformation.

My view is that threat actors are scum and should be beaten with hammers.

One thing that I forgot to mention about Anonymous is that they hate and harass child pornographers on the Dark Web, causing them all sorts of grief, including DDoS attacks, hacking into their hidden web sites, tracing and publishing their real-World identities for law enforcement, analyzing their photos to see where they (and, especially, their victims) live, etc.
And, so, Anonymous does have some redeemable and laudable aspects to them.
