My advice, and I mean this very earnestly, is that anyone still culture warrioring over this needs to find some other way to express their insecurities.  Even in some fantasy world where a persons prefered set of gender norms could be enforced across all of society, those insecurities will remain, because they existed before any perceived gender breach or normative breach ever occurred.

All it does is make a person sound like an ignorant bigot, and fair play if that person is an ignorant bigot..but even then, it's usually a good idea not to advertise that.

Many people think that there are no differences, but you are obsessed with trans people and you want to know what is it that they want. Let's just say that they want to feel and look a certain way and that doctors are prepared to allow them because it does not harm anyone else and it makes them happy.

One can wonder.  For instance, one of my kids is convinced that if they possessed a penis, people would take them seriously and not argue with them.  Imagine, if you can, how a loving parent would feel explaining that even this far off hope was misinformed.  That for all of the reasons a reassignment surgery might make someone happy, this isn't one of them, because it's a non thing.  Instead, it's premised on a toxic social hegemony that would exclude someone precisely -for- seeking the supposed benefit.

Misery created by misery, seeking to remedy itself through yet more misery - and all of it, as "non existent", apparently, as the gender that creates it.  Chefs kiss. I can't help but wonder, if the nutballs hadn't turned it into such a thing in service of their christo-fascist insurgency, if the thought would have ever crossed my kids mind. Fucking groomers.

When society starts identifying people by their preferred gender it causes harm to others, such as the situation with the college swimmer and the military draft. It also grates when people start call to abolish terms such as mother and father. I'm also with someone who wishes to believe they're a different gender, but they are not the authorities for redefining wours for society- not on their own. Don't use transgenderism as an excuse to,introduce sexual matters to first graders. Just be who and what you are.

I am amazed that all you science-minded people so easily abandon your principles that you use to beat me over the head. You can't even come up with one characteristic that separates the genders. I am a theist by definition because I believe in God. I can't not believe in God and be an theist because I personally define theism that way. What happened to science and logic?

No, it doesn't harm other people - you've been huffing victimization paint....and has been explained to you already, while there are plenty of examples where any given atheist has an opinion not informed by or driven by any scientific principle - this simply isn't one of them. How hard could it possibly be to discuss any of those many examples, rather than communicating your bigotry and insecurities in such a ridiculous way?
