one would think a deity that has any meaningful gender needs the opposite gender for something, and so can’t be omnipotent

Or maybe it would be "death to the infidels" - aaaah..the subtle bigotry of low expectations.

In mere reality, ofc, female deities are every bit as bloodthirsty and not a wit as stereotypically feminine™ as contemporary christianized society would assume. One of the sites pointed at by proponents of a lost matriarchal civilization turns out to be the most well armed hillfort in existence at the time that we're aware of. They pissed standing up - with a spear in one hand. Didn't give a shit about toilet seats.
