It’s not a thing here, but I’d be happy to give advice on how to cook a Puritan.

We are getting together Saturday as the kids here have the other side of the family to go to tomorrow.

I'm in charge of the baked mac n cheese and the mashed potatoes.

One of the best things I ever did was hand the hosting of this shindig off to my older daughter.

My wife & older sons are going to Perkins. I'll be home with my disabled son watching TV; they promised me some leftovers.

I used to go to Perkins in Iowa City after my prenatal appts at UofI.  Geez, I hadn't thought about that chain in years.

This one is with just me and my wife. I'm not convinced all the cooking will be worth the effort.

Casino buffet is definitely calling.

Will be just husband and me tomorrow.  I am thinking about a big, late breakfast and we can graze the rest of the day.

The wife will cook one of the [about] six meals she does per year, tomorrow.  Clap

I will go to the rental house tomorrow, because I discovered some needed paint touch-up. I go there every day, which is a pain, but I want to make sure to establish that someone is coming and going, to avoid getting squatters. Lots of that in the City of Los Angeles. I don't want to have to demonstrate the baton training skills I learned at the hands of Marines when I had to stand Shore Patrol duty in the Navy.  Angel

I stopped on the way home to pick up ingredients for a side dish to bring to Thanksgiving dinner. I spent $40. A bit much for a side dish, but what the hell, Thanksgiving and Christmas only occur once in a year. I didn't have a chance to do a practice run, but I think I've got a handle on how best to avoid it sucking. I'm making pan-roasted vegetables, and I'll break them down into batches of specific vegetables by how long they need to cook. I figure the carrots will take longest, so I'll cook those separately in the air fryer. Wish me luck!
