I agree immigration needs control.  Trump's wall was a boondoggle doomed to fail, while making millions for Trump's construction goons.  Even his own party knew that which is why they shut down the government to stop it.  Biden, should he visit, couldn't stop a single damn Guatemalan.  He's decrepit.

The vast majority of people who work for the company I do books for are from Mexico and Central America. Because I do payroll, I have seen their documents that allow them to work here. We don't exactly have a lot of people breaking down the door to work at a maid service. There are a few white women and African American woman seem to last 3 days. It's hard work and some of the crew have been with the company for 14+ years so it can't be all bad. They pay taxes....I know that because I process it. Some put money into our IRA. They earn overtime, commissions, bonuses, holiday pay, and PTO.

By the looks of things around the neighborhood, the landscapers are mostly Hispanic and they show up right on time and in company trucks pulling trailers full of equipment.

There is some weird thing that seems to be where some people want to stop all immigration and not just the ones coming here with bad intent. That hurts the ones who come here for a better life.

If you, meaning anyone reading this, are against illegal immigration, you should check your holdings.  Sell all poultry stocks, such as Tyson.  Any industry with min wage.  Then donate your earning from such to border control.  Don't just talk about it.

I think some of you are confusing  a desire to control immigration for a desire to stop immigration. What other countries just allow anybody enter?  You have to use some sense. If you can't physically deter people, then you don't have control of your own country's borders.

And, for the record, travel between EU countries is virtually unrestricted - no border checks, no passports, etc. I realize that the US is more paranoid than EU member states, so you could do it in stages. Start with Mexico. Anyone who shows up at the border with something that proves they’re a Mexican national gets to live and work in the US. How hard is that?

In mere reality, immigrants are less likely to use welfare programs when they qualify, and, ofc, when they're illegal..don't qualify at all. It's the racist shitwads screaming about welfare queens, that suck up all the welfare. That might be why they worry about someone coming for their precious welfare.
