What friends?
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Many opportunistic bullshitters and many gullible fools happened.

The same thing happened many times before, many time afterwards, and many times more or less contemporaneously with your thing.  Yours favorite thing is not the only con that went big time.  You just happen to not see the forest because you insist on staring too hard at your one favorite tree.

Two separate beings are...two separate beings.

That's why I insist they can't be one...since they are obviously two.  It's right there in the words.

The tune and lyrics of a song
A book with paper pages and print
Carbon dioxide
A game of football with two teams
A haystack with a load of needles in
The meat and shell of a snail

I wouldn't for one moment suggest that these come close to a description of Jesus/the Father, but they do point towards how two separate elements can be part of one whole.

Tunes and lyrics are different things.
Paper is not a book, print is not a book.
Carbon remains carbon, oxygen remains oxygen.
I invite you to tell West Ham and Millwall that they are One.
A haystack and an incorporated load of needles are distinct entities.
Not all snails have shells.

All you’ve done with this nonsense is to equate Jesus and God with Martin and Lewis.

Yes, but why would they believe that Jesus is divine?

Why would you?

People believe all sorts of thing that are utterly impossible by any demonstrably effective means of truth finding, and yet they Do.

They should most certainly have tried to be a credit to nominally thinking spedies by not believing this ridiculous Jesus crap, but they did, just as you most certainly should not believe the very same crap, and yet regrettably and to your eternal discredit you do.

RE: Most People Insist That Two Separate Being Can Never Be One
Early christian apologists had a handy explanation for why people believed in christ. They responded to accusations that their new faith was idiotic superstition which no would would believe by pointing out that they were not making claims about gods that other people did not already believe. They later expanded on this idea by putting forward the notion of demonic mimicry. Not only was christ like all those other gods that people believed in - demons had made people believe in other gods just like that in order to discredit christ when he came. This eventually filtered all the way down to witches. Yes...witches. Whose power must be an illusion from the devil in order to maintain gods monopoly in the miracle market. It seems silly now, but put yourself in those peoples shoes. They believed that there were people who could do amazing things. Some of them bad, for sure - but some of them needful. If you had a sick kid, and you believed there was a person who could heal your sick kid..at any cost..imagine what it would take to get you to burn that person at the stake.
