So for instance, if a politician used a racial slur I could only say something like:

I have used them in the context of discussing their social impact precisely because that usage might better convey the impact their victims feels at least a little, and thereby inform the discussion.
If the rules here forbid that, okay. I don't like it but it ain't my forum, and I'm not wedded to my own approach, even if I think this rule waters shit down.
