Abortion-Killing: The Silent Genocide: 2 Billion Deaths Victims Worldwide.
#11
RE: Abortion-Killing: The Silent Genocide: 2 Billion Deaths Victims Worldwide.
Brian, for the same Reason you or I would never kill and know it's wrong to kill babies with beating hearts 3 months after their birth. So, then, we both know and agree that it's morally wrong, and in fact criminal, to kill a poor innocent child, still dependent on her parents in various ways btw, 3 months after her birth - from which it follows we both innately recognize as a properly basic moral Truth that it is wrong to deprive children of their God-Given Natural Rights, among which is the Inalienable Right to Life. That's a moral conviction that we all, thankfully, Atheists and Christians alike, share, or at least most us do; tell me if it isn't so, but I think it is. The question we're debating is whether the same applies e.g. 3 months before her birth.

And so, we can reasonably go from one commonly, if not universally, admitted premise to the other. It's for atheists/liberals to tell us why, if killing babies with beating hearts 3 months after their birth is wrong, killing those same babies with beating hearts 3 months before is. And since both of them are human beings, and all human beings intrinsically have the Natural Right to Life, it necessarily follows it's as wrong to kill one as to kill the other. Either, therefore, none of them ought to be protected, and either of them can be killed, or rather, neither of then can be rightly killed, and both of them ought to be protected.

And that brings us to the 2nd argument: as I said, atheists may claim, as a response to Argument 1 from their side, that children are dependent on their Mother while in the womb. That's true. However, they continue to be dependent even after birth, on their mother, and their false, to feed them, clothe them, nourish them, take care of them, give them shelter, in a word, to protect their lives. Parents who neglect that obligation are not doing their duty to their children, just as children, in later life, who neglect a similar duty to their Aged Parents, are likewise neglecting their moral duty.

The moral folly of the Present Age has been to emphasize Rights without Duties or Responsibilities. And there is a Right only to Life, not a Right to Kill. And, Rights and Responsibilities are Moral Consequences of one another. Your Right to Life means I have a Duty not to kill you. The same you have to me. The same parents do to the children they bring forth into the world. And the same children to their parents who cared for them in their youth.

Either all of us human beings have all human rights, or none of us do. "Injustice Anywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere", as Dr. MLK rightly said.

As for peaceful Communists, yes, I know they exist; I know some of them in India as well. Nice people, and have nothing to do with earlier Marxist Extremism. I'm speaking more of those like the Commie CCP in China, which persecutes both Christians and Muslims, and others, as well as those like Stalin/Mao earlier on.

Fake Messiah, pls show just 1 alleged "blatant lie" in my post. I gave sources and documentation for everything I said, including Stalin's killing of 20 mn. Btw, you should read the Catechism; you do know almost all Catholic Theologians, and especially the Last Three Popes, in addition to being staunchly and inflexibly Pro-Life, also called for Near Complete (Pope St. John Paul II, Pope Benedict XVI), or Complete Abolition of the Death Penalty (Pope Francis), for e.g.? Pope St. John Paul II also was one of the First to oppose the unjust War in Iraq; he opposed Communism, and also Radical Islamism, like Al Qaeda, but firmly also opposed the Iraq invasion; if only Prez. Bush had listened to the Holy Father. Pope St. John Paul II also firmly opposed all torture, which some secular authorities were promoting, in Guantanomo Bay etc. Try to understand the Magisterial Teaching in the Authoritative Catechism of the Catholic Church, and the present state of Catholic Moral Theology, rather than your sophisms about what you think happened 1000 years ago. Lastly, your claim about Christian-Islamic relations is also the farthest thing from the Truth; in the last 50 years, just like in the last 100 years or so, no organization has done more to oppose Wars in general than the Papacy (read the writings of recent Popes on that, including Pope Benedict XV's denunciation of World War I as "the suicide of civilized Europe"), in the last 50 years, no organization has done more to promote peace and harmony between 2.6 BN Christians and 2 BN Muslims, which is certainly of importance to all peace-loving people everywhere. Blessed are the Peace-Makers, as the Lord said. And the Popes said Christians and Muslims should love and live in peace with one another; but there are certain conditions for that Peace, and that is that Muslims, or Radical Islamists rather, should stop persecuting Christians in Muslim Countries, just as peaceful Muslims enjoy virtually every freedom and peace in Christian and Christian Majority Countries, as they should of course. You should also read what Pope St. Gregory VII wrote 1000 years ago that was cited in VAtican II.

And as for us and you, Christians and Atheists, Pro-Life Christians have protested Peacefully against Abortion for 50+ years and will continue to do so. Atheists likewise should protest peacefully for whatever it is they believe in. But unless you can show that it is not wrong to kill babies with beating hearts, or that children in the womb are not babies with beating hearts whom abortion kills, you have no argument. It's abortion that tortures and kills children. We love Children and we love Mothers and we don't want to compel anything but we want hearts and minds to gradually be transformed by the Truth. Nuns as well as lay Christians also run many pregnancy and counselling centres where gently speak Truth in Love, that Abortion harms both Women and Children, and is Never a Solution. Never Again. A Generation has grown up that is more Pro-Life than its Parents, and this is the Generation that will end Abortion, Peacefully and Lovingly, but nonetheless indefatigably and untiringly. Unless you can prove Babies with Beating Hearts are not Human Beings, or that All Human Beings don't have All Human Rights, you have nothing. That's all Abortion is: an excuse to kill, based on nothing to all. A tragedy for the human race. May God enlighten and save us all.

I am peacefully protesting your ignorance and dishonesty here in this forum, yet you call me a "militant atheist". So, wtf are you rambling/lying about again?

There you go with your lies. I was speaking about the Crusades. Those were wars that lasted for 300 years not just against Muslims but also Jews and everyone else who is not Catholic. Like when in 1487, Pope Innocent VIII declared an armed crusade against Waldensians in the Savoy region of France.

Only if we ignore 300+ years of Crusades plus centuries of wars against protestants and bulls that allowed the enslavement of African people and antisemitic ideology that caused many holocausts of Jews.

Plus, here is some papal history for you:
Pope Gregory IX originally authorized the killing of witches in the 1200s, and random witch trials were held, but the craze didn't catch fire until the 15th century.
In 1484 Pope Innocent VIII issued a bull declaring the absolute reality of witches—thus it became heresy to doubt their existence. Prosecutions soared.
Pope John XII openly had love affairs, gave church treasure to a mistress, castrated one opponent, blinded another, and donned armor to lead an army.
Benedict IX sold the papacy to a successor for 1,500 pounds of gold.
Urban VI tortured and murdered his cardinals.
Innocent VIII proudly acknowledged his illegitimate children and loaded them with church riches.
Pope Boniface VII murdered two rival popes in the 10th century.
Sergius III likewise killed two rivals for the papal throne.
Benedict V dishonored a young girl and fled with the Vatican treasury. Boniface VIII sent troops to kill every resident of Palestrina and raze the city. Clement VII, while a papal legate, similarly ordered the slaughter of Cesena's 8,000 people, including the children. A previous Pope John XXIII was accused of piracy, murder, rape, sodomy, and incest. Alexander VI bought the papacy by bribing cardinals to elect him—then hosted sex orgies attended by his illegitimate children, Cesare and Lucrezia Borgia.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

@Nishant Xavier

How many unwanted children have you given birth to and/or presently support?

Do the souls of the aborted fetus go straight to heaven to be with Jesus for all eternity?

Never to be judged?

Never a chance to piss off yahweh who will send that soul to hell?
