Not enough of those people care enough to actually vote for it to matter.

1% can swing a state in a tight race. I know, it shouldn't be tight; but it is.

One percent of the total vote is one-third of a three percent pool of undecided voters. You're not going to swing a third of undecideds even if you hand out money.

As close as this election is, turnout is imperative. Giving up on a segment of the electorate is a mistake. Trump is making that mistake. The Democrats should not be making the same mistake.

Quote:Former President Trump’s campaign worked with Elon Musk’s X to prevent links to hacked campaign materials from circulating on the social media platform last month, according to The New York Times.

After independent journalist Ken Klippenstein shared a link to the materials allegedly obtained in an Iranian hack of the Trump campaign, X suspended his account and blocked links to his Substack, where Klippenstein posted the materials.

An X spokesperson said at the time that Klippenstein violated its rules by posting “unredacted private personal information,” including Sen. JD Vance’s (R-Ohio) addresses and the majority of his Social Security number.

The news that X and the Trump campaign had coordinated to take down links to the materials — a 271-page document compiled by the campaign to vet Vance — prompted one Democratic congressman to express concern.

“So @Jim_Jordan and @SpeakerJohnson, when is the @Weaponization hearing about Trump and @ElonMusk censoring free speech on this platform?” Rep. Dan Goldman (D-N.Y.) wrote on X.

I met a young African American man last night who is planning to vote but hasn't decided who for yet. He said he had one friend encouraging him to vote for Trump and another for Harris. My impression was he was relying on people he trusts and think know more than him about the candidates. I said he should vote for who he thinks will be best for the country; but gently pointed out that Trump was lying about the FEMA reponse and can't be trusted to say anything but what he thinks will help him win the election.

Retired General Mark Milley to Bob Woodward about Trump:

"I had suspicions when I talked to you about his mental decline and so forth, but now I realize he's a total fascist."

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

This is insane. It feels lust like the beginning of the rise of the Brownshirts in Germany. We have to defeat that fascist bastard.
